My name is Aidan Eckhardt and I am a Senior at the University of Oregon studying journalism. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and I love the Pacific Northwest. In my free time I like to hike, draw, spend time with family and friends, and learn more about my interests. I currently live in Eugene, Oregon, when I am attending classes at the University, and I live in Portland, Oregon, over the summers with my parents, sister, and three cats.
As I got older and was granted more flexibility to write about my interests in school, I discovered a desire to tell stories. I love music, movies, fashion, and anything related to culture and design. But ever since I was a kid, cars were always the thing that drew me in the most.
Journalism's job is to tell stories. I have spent countless hours watching and reading everything I can about cars. Some of it has left me with goosebumps and a grin on my face. These are the stories and moments I want to create for others. Sharing a passion is part of our individual nature, and sharing stories is part of human nature. When you connect with a story, you create a truly special moment, and I want to bring that moment to people.
